The KATANA Team proudly completed a remarkable home transformation by rebuilding this classic weatherboard home from the ground up. We focused on preserving its timeless charm by carefully replicating period features such as ceiling panels, cornices, architraves, and skirtings. At the same time, we selected a sophisticated colour palette that balances traditional tones with modern trends. This gave the home a striking visual appeal that honors its history while feeling fresh and inviting.
We retained and meticulously renovated the three original bedrooms to maintain the home’s character. Additionally, we added a spacious modern ensuite and a generous walk-in robe to the master bedroom. This enhanced both comfort and functionality. Our key challenge involved seamlessly blending the original home with a stunning architect-designed rear extension.
This new extension creates an open-plan kitchen and dining area that flows effortlessly onto a sunny alfresco space. The alfresco is perfect for entertaining friends and family. The living, dining, and kitchen areas benefit from soaring vaulted ceilings reaching up to 5 meters. These ceilings flood the rooms with natural light and create an impressive sense of spaciousness.
The kitchen showcases premium “Stratorio Maximus” Caesarstone benchtops, sleek two-pack cabinetry, and high-end Miele appliances. It is designed to combine style with practicality. We also added a brand-new laundry and two beautifully appointed bathrooms to complete the renovation.
