The Team at Katana are very excited to be involved with a different style of home improvement with our Yarra Ranges Extension- an Under House Extension!!. Instead of building out, or on top of the existing home, as most of our clients prefer to do, we are building UNDER the house to create extra space needed by our clients. This will involve extensive excavation, and careful planning and execution to ensure the existing home maintains its structural integrity, but the benefits are awesome.
The land of the house lends itself very well to this type of extension, as there is plenty of head room under the house to make use of already and create the space our clients are looking for. We are very confident this under house extension will become a feature of our building range, and a service we can offer for many more clients. An under house extension is also looked apon well by local authorities as it has little or now impact on the surrounding landscape, yet creates great space which can be used by the Owners.
In Stage 1, we will be adding 2 bedrooms, a Bathroom and Laundry of this sub floor extension project, utilizing the area under the home to its full potential.
In Stage 2 we will be adding another 2 bedrooms, one on top of the other, with an En-suite for the parents and a huge Walk in Robe to the side of the home.
