Katana were asked to help a family in Cheltenham renovate and extend their single storey house from its tired state to a beautifully modern double storey home.
Externally, the old clinker bricks were rendered, adding instant appeal, with lightweight render to the second storey.
Internally, the project task was very comprehensive, involving changing the rear rumpus room into a fantastic modern family room with expansive kitchen, and adding the second storey to include 3 extra bedrooms with a Bathroom and En-suite to the Master Bedroom. We were able to achieve all this while the young family continued to live in the house.
New solid timber flooring was integrated with the existing to create lovely warmth through the new areas, highlighted by the timber Bi-fold doors opening onto a new Alfresco area allowing full indoor/outdoor entertaining options.
The tradesmen Katana uses are first class, and each person took care of the job they had with care and attention to detail. They all kept a clean worksite, and were friendly and polite which was important to us as we were living in the house at the time. The whole team really made us feel special, and that our home was special also.
